Recommended service approach

Choose your task and select Find matching companies.

Company matches

Search this area on Google Maps

Before you book

  • Give item dimensions, weight if known, stairs and tight turns. A piano or safe needs an explicit capability confirmation.
  • Ask when billable time starts, minimum hours, travel charges, packing costs and cancellation terms.
  • For a Marketplace pickup, confirm the seller’s time window, item readiness, parking and payment arrangements separately.

City matching uses published service areas, not GPS distance or real-time availability. Maps opens an external service. Contact details can change; the linked official source is your confirmation point.

How to choose the moving service to request

Choose the work first, then look for companies whose published services match it. A household move, labour-only loading and moving furniture inside one property can require different arrangements even when the inventory is small.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Choose the Ontario city or service area and the task: household, office, single item, loading labour, piano or furniture within your property.
  2. Select packing or storage only when you need it. Adding these requirements narrows the list to the recorded combination of services.
  3. Add stairs and elevator details, then select Find matching companies. Read the recommended approach and follow each company’s official source before contacting it.
  4. Save move details if you want to reuse the profile in the request builder. Confirm the crew, vehicle, specialist capability and complete price directly with each shortlisted company.

Example: loading a rental truck

If you have arranged your own truck and only need people to load it, choose loading or unloading labour rather than assuming a household-move price fits. Tell the provider who supplies the truck, equipment and driver, how long access is available, and whether unloading at the other address is part of the job.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between labour-only and in-home furniture moving?

Labour-only commonly describes help loading or unloading transport you arrange. In-home work stays within your property. Confirm the exact tasks and equipment with the provider; the category is a starting point, not a contract.

Why are there no matching companies?

The recorded combination of city, task, packing and storage may have no match. Check your selections and the broader company finder, or contact providers directly. No result does not prove no local company can do the work.

Does a piano service tag confirm my piano can be moved?

It records published service information. Give the company the piano type, dimensions, route and access photographs so it can assess the specific job.

Can I use the saved details outside this page?

In the same browser, open the request builder and select Use saved move profile. Review the imported information and add anything the profile does not contain.
