How to check a written moving quote
Use this checklist while reading the actual estimate and booking terms. It covers 14 topics and builds questions from your selections. It does not upload, scan or independently verify the document.
Step-by-step instructions
- Add a company name or quote reference so the resulting questions remain identifiable.
- Read each topic against the written offer. Mark it clear only when the document answers it; use not applicable only when that topic genuinely does not apply to your move.
- Use the extra-charge or unclear selection when a price needs explanation. Select Find questions to ask and review the resulting text.
- Copy the relevant questions into your own message to the company. After receiving written answers, update the selections and save the check if you want to return to it.
Example: travel is mentioned but not priced
If an offer says travel extra without an amount or billing method, leave Travel and dispatch unresolved or mark an extra charge. The tool will generate a question about travel, dispatch, mileage and fuel. Ask what is included and how the charge is calculated; a verbal reassurance alone should not be treated as a written answer in your checklist.
Frequently asked questions
What does the clarified count measure?
It counts topics you marked clear or not applicable. It is a record of your selections, not a quality score, legal assessment or approval of the company.
Does marking an extra charge include it in my comparison?
No. The checker prepares a question; it does not move a price into the comparison calculator. Once the amount is clarified, enter it in the appropriate quote fields yourself.
Can I paste a PDF for an automatic review?
The current tool is a manual topic checklist. Read the document yourself and use the output to request specific missing information.
Can I keep checks for several companies here?
The current save control keeps one quote-check section in this browser. Copy each company’s questions into a separate record before saving another company over that section.
